If you have an Echo Show or Echo Spot, it can be paired with a compatible Wi-Fi camera to retrieve the video feed on the display. If you're in the market for a Wi-Fi camera and want it to work with Alexa, here's the best for the job
Amazon Cloud Cam ($ 119)
If you're already knee deep into the Amazon's smart home ecosystem And want to start equipping your home with Alexa-compatible Wi-Fi cameras, you really can't go with Amazon's own Cloud Cam.
There is really nothing special about it compared to the competition, but seeing that it is Amazon's own merger, you know right from the bat that you get the best seamless integration with it and your Echo units.
It will work well with your Echo Show or Echo Dot, and it comes with night vision, and two-way calls. Plus, as with all cameras on this list, it plays up to 1080p HD.
It comes with 24-hour video storage, but if you need more than that (as well as some more advanced features, you can upgrade to a subscription that gives you personal detection (as opposed to just typical motion detection) and motion zones.
An outdoor option: Logitech Circle 2 ($ 179)
It's a bit more expensive, but if you're looking for a Wi-Fi camera that you can put out, Logitech's Circle 2 is a good option.
As with the Amazon Cloud Cam, it comes with all the necessary features, such as night vision, two-way audio, 1080p HD video recording, free 24 hour storage and more. However, the circle 2 comes with some unique features, such as a smart time-lapse function, HomeKit support, a wide 180 degree point of view and weather resistance.
The circle 2 can run a little more expensive than a lot of other Wi-Fi cameras, but the weather resistance alone makes it a good option if you prefer to have some Wi-Fi cameras mounted outside to monitor your yard or front door .
More free storage: Arlo Q ($ 149)
If you'd rather have more storage space for free, Arlo Q is a good option, as it comes with seven days of free video recording.
Arlo Q is not shining On other features, good news, it has 1080p HD video, two-way calls, night vision, motion detection and supports Alexa so you can download the video file on your Echo Show or Echo Spot. But the biggest feature of Arlo products is the generous free cloud layer for recordings, which provides seven days for free. It's really one of my favorite features when it comes to the arlo family at cameras.
Budget Options: Wyze Cam (19 $)
If the price is the most important factor for you, you really can't go with Wyze Cam. It's the cheapest Wi-Fi camera we've seen, and it's actually very reliable.
For such a cheap camera, you think it wouldn't have any noteworthy features, but it does 1080p HD video and comes with night vision capability. It can also detect motion and send you alerts just like most other Wi-Fi cameras that are five times the price.
Most importantly, it works with the Echo Show and Echo Spot so you can download the video file of your Wyze Cam whenever you want. Not bad for a $ 20 camera.
