You can still get your missing $ 500 incentive payment for child addiction.

During CARES Act which went in March, they count for 17 years as an extra $ 500 to the total amount of your stimulus check. However, if the payment you received does not include the amount allocated to you for your child dependency, the IRS has opened an online tool to correct the error.

You now have until September 30, 2020 to use the IRS’s non-filter tool and apply for a refund. If you do not register then you will have to wait until 2021 to claim your stimulus money on behalf of your child. The IRS notes that you should not use the tool yet if you plan to file a self-declaration for 2019 (for example, if you applied for an extension on 15 October), as it will slow down the process.

At present, there is talk of a second stimulus control which could pass next month, provided Republican and Democratic leaders can agree. Here’s what you need to know about claiming your missing $ 500 stimulus payment from the first round.

If you have not received your stimulus control at all, here is one IRS phone number if you need to report a lost or missing payment.
