Just when you thought Blockbuster was a fairy tale, someone came along and turned it into an Airbnb.
Turns out the last blockbuster in the world is in Bend, Oregon, and you can still visit. But it has become a bit of a makeover. The former VHS rental store has now been transformed into an Airbnb, but do not worry, it will still give you all the nostalgic feeling you were hoping for.
The store looks relatively unchanged with rows and rows of VHS tapes on the wall, but the big difference is in the center of the store which has been transformed into an early 90̵7;s room with a pull-out couch, VHS player, bean bags, and even a rack full of snacks in classic 90s packaging (but hopefully not actually from the era).
For those who want to travel and stay at Blockbuster turned Airbnb, there is some bad news. The nights are limited to only three days in September, but if you are happy with a day trip after the last guests have checked out, you can rent the space for a few hours during the day to experience your nostalgic imagination.
Whether you’ve ever been to the last Blockbuster, you can see this 90s-inspired paradise as the inspiration you need for your next movie marathon.[Via Buzzfeed]
