For those who argue over how cool a room should be with your partner (guilty!) Is cool the right answer. According to the National Sleep Foundation, the best sleep happens in a room between 60 and 67 degrees C for adults and children and between 65 and 70 degrees F for children and toddlers.

Why is the temperature issue?
When you go all day, your body temperature goes up and down. When you get sleepy, your temperature begins to drop to get your body in sleep mode and to meet REM sleep.
A warm room prevents your body from reaching its optimum sleep temperature, giving a restless night sleep and also insomnia. If you wake up sweat it's a sure sign that your room is too hot ̵1; or if you use too many blankets.
However, sleeping with the room for cold is not good for sleep either. Being too cold can make your muscles contract stay warm, preventing you from relaxing and falling into a deep sleep.
