Call a conference call does not have to be a dull process. Your iPhone or Android phone can automatically dial into the call and enter a confirmation code for you. You just need to create a special type of contact.
Better than, it speeds up things when you have to connect to a conference call while driving. At an age where we can use Google Assistant and Siri in our cars, it's just so old to manually dial a phone number. I call the conference bridge to my day job at least once a week, and I was desperate for a way to connect to my employees without having to look down and enter the numbers.
Thankfully, it is super easy to automate this. Whether you're using iPhone or Android, simply set up the conference bridge as a contact you can call, either by tapping it or using a voice assistant.
A Quick Limit
The only way to save the conference as a contact is if your company uses a single confirmation code or conference ID. You need to call manually each time ID changes with each meeting or just have multiple contacts if your company rotates conference codes.
Save a conference call as a contact on Android
I use Google Pixel 2 XL for this guide, but the steps are similar on other Android phones. Start by opening the Contacts or People app and selecting "Create new contact."
Add a name for the meeting and other contact information you need.
Add the ten-digit phone number, then press the symbol button at the bottom left of the number. Press the "Pause" button to add a pause to the number (it appears as a comma), and then enter the conference ID.
Press the check box at the top right to save the contact.
The last thing you need to do is call a test call. Depending on how your company sets up the conference bridge, you may need to add additional breaks to get the timing right. If so, edit the phone number, add an extra break or two, and try again.
When you pinch it, you will always be a button or voice command away from joining the meeting! How to save a conference call as a contact on iPhone
