Google Home ($ 129 at Walmart) app can now . This is quite useful, because before you started updating, you had to go to the app that controls your lights to change colors.
It's not a difficult process, but it can be annoying if you have several different brands of light bulbs on the home that I do. Now you don't have to switch between different apps to control all your lights. Everything can be controlled with Google's home app.
How to set your bulb and change the colors of the Google homepage.
Add your bulb
To add your light bulb to the app, first check that your bulb is supported. The Google Home app supports Philips Hue, Lifx and some lesser known light bulbs. You can see the full list here .
Then check that you are using Google Home App version 2.9 or later. You can check your version by going to the Google Play Store or iTunes. The version is shown below or next to the app description.
Now that you know your lamp is supported and the app is updated, press Add> Set Device > New Devices > Next . From there, follow the on-screen instructions.
Check the colors
To control the colors of your lights, go to the home screen home page for Google Home and press the lamp you want to change. You will be taken to a dashboard with lighting options.
On the dashboard there is a steering wheel for controlling the brightness and a button marked Color . Press the Color button to open a larger number of colors to choose from. Choose the color you like from the palette of 42 options and you're done.
