There are some smartphone features that you want to be able to do quickly. Turning on the flashlight is one of them. We show you how to activate it by simply tapping on the back of your Android device.
This is possible with an app called “Tap, Tap.”; Once activated, it can perform functions when you press the back of the device. The app is not available for download from the Google Play Store, but it can be easily downloaded on all Android 7.0+ devices.
Before we continue, follow our guide to get Tap, Tap installed and ready to go.

Now that you have Tap, Tap installed, we can configure the flashlight gesture. Open the app and select either “Double knocking action” or “Triple knocking action”. For this guide we use Double Tap.
Then press the “Add action” button at the bottom of the screen.
Select “Flashlight” in the “Tools” category. Alternatively, you can take a screenshot by tapping on the back of your phone.
The flashlight now lights up when you tap the back of your Android device. Then we can set some “Requirements”. These requirements must be met for the flashlight to come on. You do not have to add requirements, but if you want, tap “Add requirements.”
If you are worried that the flashlight will light up in your pocket, you can select “Display On”. This will ensure that the flashlight does not light up when the screen is off (but it can also be handy).
You’re done! Now you always have quick access to your Android phone’s flashlight when you’re in a dark situation.
