To view a Google Calendar in Outlook

Having multiple calendars with different meetings on each one is a sure way to double bookings and an argument with someone you have annoyed. Get more organized and more reliable by subscribing to your Google Calendar in Outlook.

To do this you need a Google Calendar and Outlook (which is quite obvious), but you don't need plug-ins to add -ins, extensions or 3rd party tools. Both Google and Microsoft support the iCal format, which despite its name has nothing to do with Apple and is actually lacking in "iCalendar." It is an open standard for exchanging calendar and scheduling information between users and computers that have existed since the late 1

990s. This means that you can subscribe to them if you have the right link, which is the method we use here.

View a Google Calendar in Outlook

Since we are going to show a Google Calendar in Outlook, we need to download the link from Google Calendar first. Sign in to your Google Account and go to Google Calendar. When you are there, click the three dots next to the calendar and then click "Settings and Sharing."

Browse until you reach the "Secret address in iCal format" section. Click on the link to select it and copy it with Ctrl + V or by right-clicking it and selecting "Copy" from the menu.

Now you need to add this link to Outlook, so open Outlook and go to your calendar. Right-click the Shared Calendars option, then select Add Calendar> From Internet

 Add Calendar from the Internet Option

Paste your secret iCal address from Google Calendar into the text box and then click " OK."

Click "Yes" in the confirmation window.

And that is It; Your Google Calendar now appears in Outlook. You can overlap it with your calendar – just as you can with any other shared calendar – by clicking the arrow on the tab.

And now you can see both calendars, with the appointments in different colors, in one place.

The disadvantage of this is that you still need to manage the agreements in Google Calendar, but any changes you make there (f, b, e, v, n, t, s) { if (f.fbq) return; n = f.fbq = function () {n.callMethod n.callMethod.apply (n, argument): n.queue.push (argument)} if (f._fbq!) f._fbq = n; n.push = n; n.loaded = 0? ; n.version = & # 39; 2.0 & # 39 ;; n.queue = []; t = b.createElement (e); t.async = 0; t.src = v; s = b.getElementsByTagName (e) [0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore (t, s)} (window, document, & # 39; script, & # 39; https: //connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js'); FBQ (& # 39; init & # 39 ;, & # 39; 335401813750447 & # 39;); FBQ (& # 39; track & # 39 ;, & # 39; page views & # 39;);
