It is safe to say that 2020 is sucking. With the coronavirus pandemic and civil unrest, it has not been good. But in addition to affecting your emotional state, the upcoming phone you’ve been waiting for has probably released its release date.
Due to the response to coronavirus, almost all industries had to postpone or postpone release, and smartphones have been no exception. With factories forced to shut down or redirect work to key materials, and most conferences interrupted to limit proliferation, when your next phone may not be when you expect it to be.

According to the Wall Street Journal, iPhone production has been affected by the pandemic. Before you worry, it seems to be a setback that is only a month, which means that all three iPhones will probably be released in October.
ASUS announced the ROG Phone 3 in July 2020, but they still have not given us a release date for the US model. We only know that it will arrive in September 2020. The other major device that ASUS announced was the ZenFone 7. This budget flagship will not be officially released in the US, unlike its predecessor.

Coronavirus definitely affected Google̵7;s release cycle. Pixel 4a was launched three months later than last year’s Pixel 3a, and its larger sibling, the Pixel 4a 5G, will not be out until more than five months after the expected release date. Pixel 5 XL is not scheduled to be released at all.
What is left of the Pixel range, however, seems to be on the right track. The flagship Pixel 5 will be released along with 4a 5G at an event on September 30, followed by a possible pre-order date on October 8.

There is a small chance that HTC will release a 5G phone to the US this year. In this context, the last noticeable release of the once smartphone giant U12 + was back in 2018. Both potential new phones were announced in July, with official release dates only for Taiwan. There is an expectation of an international launch later this year.

LG is redesigning its flagship program. The G-series is gone to pasture, and probably also the V-series. Their only flagship so far in 2020 is the Velvet, which is not a direct successor to any previous model. Then there is the Wing, a dual-screen smartphone with a swivel. Velvet is out now and Wing was recently announced.

After launching its first flagship phone in years, Edge +, US customers should expect three more versions from Motorola: Edge, One Fusion + and G Fast.
Motorola is currently releasing a 5G sequel to the new foldable Razr flip phone. They have also released a handful of beginner and mid-range phones according to the 2020 schedule, including the Moto G Fast, Moto E and Moto One 5G.
Microsoft has a new Android phone called the Surface Duo, and it’s just released. The $ 1400 phone is a foldable but with two separate screens instead of a bendable one. It is now available for purchase before its original timeline.
OnePlus is likely to release two more flagship phones, the 8T and 8T Pro. No delays have been rumored, so expect both phones to arrive in October or November. US customers will miss the OnePlus Nord budget, but rumor has it that a successor, the OnePlus Clover, may arrive in the US later this year.

After a slight delay, the Xperia 1 II was finally released. During the announcement, another phone was introduced next to it: Xperia 10 II. So far we have no news on when it will be released, but with the latest version of Xperia 1 II, expect it to come soon. The other potential big announcement is a successor to the Xperia 5, Xperia 5 II.

After receiving the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung needs to win. The next big release will be two new Galaxy Note smartphones, Note 20 and 20+. Samsung also plans to release 5G variants in the A-series, A51 and A71. All four units seem to be on the right track, with the Note series coming in August and the A series this summer.
TCL began the year by announcing a new range of phones under the same name as their TV series. Two of the phones have already arrived on US shores, 10 Pro and 10L. 10 5G will come later this year, rebranded as REVVL 5G. There are also plans for other Alcatel phones, but nothing concrete has been leaked so far.
