Ever since then whispers about one second stimulus control started are the following two logical questions how much money can you expect to get and if you and your family can plan to receive it. Although we do not know the final requirements before an agreement is made on a new direct payment, we have plenty of clues to work with, including justification for new groups of people who were not counted for the first check.

Right now, there’s still so much flow, inclusive try to restart the calls. But there are signs that momentum will pick up speed again, as both Democrats and the White House negotiators agree on the need for a new stimulus package.

“We will continue to work with the Senate and the House for bipartisan assistance,” Finance Minister Steven Mnuchin said during a committee hearing in House on Tuesday. “I think a two-party agreement should be reached.”

If another stimulus bill passes, here is a head start on what requirements can make it a final bill, based on two proposals and the original act. This story is updated with new information.

Second stimulus check: Anyone who can qualify

We do not know for sure who will qualify for a new incentive payment until Congress approves the legislation. However, we can benefit from it first stimulus control eligibility requirements and the Heroes Act and the HEALS Act proposals (none of which are laws) to get an idea of who may or may not receive a second check, including some unexpected qualifications below.

Scroll down for a complete list of who can qualify.

Depending on all ages: While the initial payments approved under the CARES Act included $ 500 for people aged 16 and under, the HEALS and Heroes Act would both crash into all addicts, regardless of age, including students and adults. The Democratic plan would extend $ 1,200 each for up to three relatives, so a family of five could receive a maximum of $ 6,000. The Republican plan would provide $ 500 for each dependency you claim on your taxes, but the HEALS Act does not specify a ceiling on the number of relatives.

Citizens living abroad: While the controls are designed to provide financial support to Americans during the pandemic and boost the local US economy, citizens living abroad can also qualify under current proposals. The same is true for many people living in US territories such as Puerto Rico and Guam, but it is currently the territory’s tax authorities that distribute the payments, not the federal government.

Non-citizens who pay taxes: To qualify for the first checks, the recipients needed a social security number. The Democrats’ Heroes Act would include non-citizens filing their income tax with an individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN).

Both Republicans and Democrats use adjusted gross income or AGI, to determine the amount of payment for individuals and families, which could be $ 1200 for individuals and $ 2400 for married couples.

When will Congress agree on new requirements for stimulus control?

Right now, the timeline for discussions is up in the air. Talks between Republican and Democratic negotiators on the new stimulus package stalled, but both sides have shown they are willing to take up the debate. The Senate is on hiatus until after Labor Day and the House after passes USPS funding has nothing scheduled. Once the parties have reached an agreement, the stimulus bill will not take effect until the president signs it into law.

We do not know for sure until the two sides come together on the next stimulus package, but we have a good idea about it when a check could be sent if a new bill passes.

For more, here’s what we know about major proposals for a second stimulus package. We also have information about unemployment insurance, what you can do if you have lost your job, if you could get two refund checks from the IRS and what to know about deportations.
