How to Make Dalgona Coffee at Home

you only need the recipe:

  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee or instant espresso
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Milk (dairy products or dairy products works just as well)

Add instant coffee, sugar and water a bowl and whisk vigorously (or use a hand mixer if you have one to make it a much easier process) until the mixture becomes super thick – it should have a similar texture to whipped cream with somewhat stiff peaks – and turns a subtle golden-brown color.

Pour milk into a glass filled with ice cubes, then scoop the pillow mixture on top of the cold milk or mix the two parts together if you are looking for more of a latte situation.

You can also dress it up with variations, such as mint in the milk stock, or dalgona coffee foam over another drink – such as iced coffee or cold chocolate milk – even sprinkled on top. It's a fun, lighter drink, so have fun with it.

Snap a photo (or video the whole thing) and post it online so you can also join the ever-growing coffee in Dalgona.
