Xbox Series X pre-orders are sold out: Check stock at Amazon, Walmart, GameStop and more

We have been waiting for a year. But as Sony’s rival PlayStation 5 the console (coming November 12), both Xbox Series X and cheaper Xbox Series S sold out within hours of pre-order on September 22nd. Unless additional stock is coming for more pre-orders, you will now have to wait until November 10 for a chance to grab one at retail. This was not really the train wreck Sony’s PS5 pre-order experience, when some retailers pulled the trigger early and sold out within minutes, but Microsoft̵

Read more: Yes, the Xbox Series S is also sold out

There has been a lot of Xbox news in recent weeks, some of which may affect how you choose to buy your new Xbox. GameStop has announced up to $ 200 in deposit credit when you buy your Xbox Series X or Series S.. For example, an unwanted Xbox One X or an old PS4 Pro is worth $ 200, while a 500 GB Xbox One can drop $ 100 off the price of your new Xbox. Or if you want to buy your next console more like a smartphone – on an installment plan – there is Xbox All Access, which allows you to get a Series X for $ 35 per month for 24 months, no cost in advance.

That’s not all: If you’m still on the fence between Xbox and PS5, you should know that Microsoft has just announced a deal to buy ZeniMax Media, a parent of Bethesda Studios. Should the deal close as expected, it would make Microsoft the owner of Doom, Fallout, Skyrim and other A-list franchises. Xbox boss Phil Spencer said recently that Bethesda games will be offered on Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service at the same time as they end up on store shelves. They will also be available through Microsoft’s streaming service for video games xCloud, which enables people to play games over the Internet.

So even though there is a lot to look forward to, you may currently have to wait until November 10 to get an Xbox Series X if you could not pre-order one on September 22. We do not expect additional pre-order stocks to come to retail, but here are the places you can keep an eye on if you want to try your luck.

Amazon’s pre-order page already shows “currently unavailable.” You can click on the yellow Email me button to sign up for availability updates.

Best Buy was the last retailer, but the message “Coming soon” on the pre-order page confirms that it is also out of stock.

Newegg now seems to be sold out.

Unfortunately, Walmart is now being sold out of stock.

GameStop now reports that its pre-orders are no longer available.

Target is currently reporting: “Pre-orders have sold out. Come back on release date.”

If in stock, you could buy the console directly for $ 300 or choose the Xbox All Access plan, which includes the Series S and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. It costs $ 25 per month for 24 months. But Microsoft is out of stock.
