Xbox Series X seems to be sold out everywhere – except possibly Best Buy

We have been waiting for about a year. But as Sony’s rival PlayStation 5 console (coming November 12) Xbox Series X is almost here, along with the less powerful but cheaper Xbox series S. The Xbox will not ship until November 10 and Xbox pre-orders are now open (from 8 am PT / 11 am ET). After the train wreck it was Sony’s PS5 pre-order experience, when retailers pulled the trigger early and sold out, in some cases within minutes, here is hoping Microsoft̵

When the pre-order started, there have been many exciting news that can affect your upcoming console decision. GameStop has announced up to $ 200 in deposit credit when you buy your Xbox Series X or Series S.. For example, an unwanted Xbox One X or an old PS4 Pro is worth $ 200, while a 500 GB Xbox One can drop $ 100 off the price of your new Xbox. Or if you want to buy your next console more like a smartphone – on an installment plan – there is Xbox All Access, which allows you to get a Series X for $ 35 per month for 24 months, no cost in advance.

And that’s not all: If you’re still on the fence between Xbox and PS5, you should know that Microsoft has just announced a deal to buy ZeniMax Media, a parent of Bethesda Studios. Closing the deal as expected would make Microsoft the owner of Doom, Fallout, Skyrim and other A-list franchises. It is currently unclear how this will affect the future gaming landscape, but it could mean anything from Xbox getting future Bethesda games first – or perhaps getting them exclusively or seeing them quickly tracked to Xbox Game Pass. There are many opportunities, to be sure.

You should be able to choose from half a dozen retailers. We will keep track of these stores and update their status below.

Update, 14:30 PT: As with the PS5, it seems like the first round of the Xbox Series X was pre-sold out at most retailers immediately, but we’re currently seeing it available on Best Buy, but can’t complete an order. If you are still shopping, Best Buy is the best option.

Amazon’s pre-order page already shows “currently unavailable.” You can click on the yellow Email me button to sign up for availability updates.

Looks like Best Buy may be the last retailer – you can still pre-order with the button below, but when we tried we got an error message that said, “Due to high demand, this item has not been added to your shopping cart. Please wait minutes before trying again. “So the odds are low, but you may still have a chance.

Newegg now seems to be sold out.

Unfortunately, Walmart is now being sold out of stock.

GameStop now reports that its pre-orders are no longer available.

Target’s pre-order page seems to be sold out.

If you want to get the latest on the Xbox Series X, there is probably nowhere better than Microsoft’s own Xbox Series X website. Here you will find the latest specifications, announced game titles, details about the new controller and more.
