You use emoji daily to express your thoughts and feelings ̵1; whether it’s sending a friend the crying tears of joy emoji 😂 or Slacking your colleagues a smiley emoji 😀. But did you know that you can use emoji symbols in a Google Doc? 😳
It’s actually quite simple, and you have dozens of emoji to choose from, but not your entire portfolio. It is also not clear if Google Docs will integrate any ofcoming out.
To get started, open a Google Doc in your desired desktop browser. Select Insert > Special characters. You see a group of symbols and arrows. To switch to emoji, click on the drop-down menu that says symbols and select Emoji.
You can also click on arrows drop-down list and select Emoticons, but you see a more limited number of options. If you use your phone, you can just open a Google Doc and select an emoji from the keyboard.
If you can not find the emojis you are looking for, you can use the large box on the right that says “Draw a symbol here.” Once you have drawn what you are looking for, a list of options you can choose from will appear on the left. So if you are looking for the upside-down smiley emojis but continue to have a view of it, just draw it to find it. You can also type to search for selections.
That’s all! Now you can add an emoji to any Google Docs. For more Google tips, here isand .
