Having the phone's screen suddenly dim and black during reading is an irritation that we all have to live with. However, if you have a Samsung Galaxy like Note 10, there is a simple setting that you can enable to take care of this problem once and for all.
The Smart Stay feature has been around since the Galaxy S4 and Android 5 Club. It uses the phone's forward facing camera to monitor the eyes. Whenever it sees you looking at the screen, it prevents your phone from sleeping, so you can continue reading without delay.
To activate the feature, open the phone's Settings app, select "Advanced Features" and then press "Moves and Gestures." Select "Smart stay" and press the switch at the top of the screen to turn it on.
With Smart Stay on, your Galaxy front camera will now continuously run in the background as it searches for your eyes. This can cause your battery to drop a little faster than usual, but nothing major is usually. Now your phone just won't sleep when you use it!
